Spa Etiquette

What to Expect:
Our goal at California Skin Care & Day Spa is to make your visit with us as relaxing and hassle-free as possible, so please feel free to wear your most comfortable clothing and no jewelry. When you arrive for your scheduled appointment, leave the details to us. Depending on the service or package purchased, a robe and slippers will be provided to you. Private changing areas are available for your convenience. To fully enjoy your scheduled services, please arrive 5-10 prior to your appointment. All services over $100 must be paid in advance. Services under $100 may require a deposit.

Customer Requests:
You may request a specific Therapist and or Esthetician while booking an appointment. We cannot guarantee that we will have your request available at all times. All Spa employees are trained to respect the privacy of our guests and to create a comfortable relaxing environment for all.

Health Problems & Comfort Level:

Please notify a Spa receptionist before booking treatments if you are pregnant, have allergies, high blood pressure, any physical ailments or disabilities. This will prepare our staff far in advance to provide the best possible Spa treatment or therapy for you. When receiving your treatment the technician will address your needs based on your personal assessment. They will speak to you about the temperature, pressure, music, product and sequence of service they are providing. You may also communicate to us how you are feeling during your service, if there is anything you would like us to address please inform the technician.

What to Wear During a Treatment:

California Skin Care & Day Spa does not require any dress code; it is a clothing optional environment. It is recommended during a Body Treatment or Massage that those treatments are enjoyed without clothing, although undergarments may be worn if preferred. Professional draping is performed throughout the duration of the service for privacy.

Guest Timeliness:

We ask that you arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time, the benefit to an enjoyable relaxing treatment. You will be able to enjoy the aromatherapy relaxation waiting room prior to your service. Arriving late will possibly interfere with your treatment time, so therefore the treatment may not be as effective or therapeutic for you. All appointments will end at their scheduled time so that the next guest will not be delayed. If you arrive 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment time, you may loose your appointment and be charged for the entire treatment/service.

Shaving is not recommended before a Body Treatment or Men's Facial. If you choose to shave, please shave at least four hours prior to your service.

We ask that all electronic devices are turned off during your time here with us to ensure total relaxation for you, as well as other clients here visiting us.

Spa Payment Inquiries:
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Debit/ATM, Discover, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay, Cash, Spa Finder, Spa Wellness, CADAYSPA Gift Cards, E-Gifts (through our website), Gift Certificates purchased through California Skin Care & Day Spa. Gratuities are not included with any of our Spa treatments. Service charge of 7.5% is added to all of our Spa Packages. We are implementing a new COVID tax of 10% to many services in an effort to maintain an excellent level of safety for clients and employees. No refunds on any transactions. All Sales are Final. All Services must be paid in advance. Services under $100 may require a deposit.

Summary of Policies:

Children Policy:
To ensure the relaxation and quiet enjoyment of all spa guests, children under the age of 12 are to not permitted in the the Spa without a parent or legal guardian. We politely ask you not to bring children and leave them unattended as this is disruptive to other spa goers and unsafe for the children. If you are not able to find suitable childcare during your stay in our spa, we will reschedule your visit and no cancellation charge will be added if you call us at least 24 hours in advance. As a courtesy to other clients and for health/safety reasons, children cannot accompany parents or other family members/friends into any of our treatment rooms. Minors can be treated in the Spa with written parental/guardian consent for basic beauty services. If a service must be rescheduled at time of appointment, a $50 charge will apply.

Cancellation Policy:
We require 72 hours notice for cancellation of treatments/services for individuals. For Groups of 2 or more, we require a notice of minimum 1 week (7 days) for cancellation of treatments/services. We reserve the right to charge up to the full service amount for all missed appointments or late cancellations. A valid CC is necessary to hold your reservation. A confirmation email or text message will be sent to the email or cell phone number on file when booking is complete.

E-Gift / Gift Card / Gift Certificate Policy:
California Skin Care & Day Spa is not responsible for lost/stolen/misplaced E-Gifts/Cards/Certificates. E-Gifts/Gift Cards/Certificates must be presented when services are rendered.  For E-Gifts, you may choose to use a smart device to display the E-Gift Digital Certificate Number (DCN) at Front Desk when checking in. Unused Funds will be disbursed as Store Credit in the form of a physical Gift Card for use at California Skin Care & Day Spa Locations only.

Services, policies, and prices are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Spa is not responsible for lost/misplaced personal belongings.
